Advanced Tooltip

49,00 € excl. VAT then 24,50 € / year

Decide what your Dolibarr tooltips show. Hovering an invoice, an order or a third party pops a tooltip whose content the core decides for you. This module hands that choice back, per object type.

  • Toggle any entry on or off
  • Reorder by drag-and-drop, with one click to restore the native order
  • Add predefined entries and any extra field

What it does

For each supported object, an admin screen lists the entries that appear in its hover tooltip and lets you:

  • toggle any entry on or off;
  • reorder entries by drag-and-drop with a grip handle — a Default column shows each entry’s native position, and a Default order button restores it;
  • add predefined entries, such as the third party;
  • toggle or add extra fields — every extra field of the object is listed, and can be injected even when it is not flagged “show in tooltip”;
  • keep any not-yet-configured entry visible, appended at the end, so an upgrade that adds a native entry never hides it.

Entries and their live preview are discovered dynamically from a recent sample object, and stored per object type.

Supported objects

Customer invoices, orders and proposals, supplier invoices, orders, proposals and receptions, third parties, and payments.

Important — hookable tooltips

The module works through the core getTooltipContent hook. That hook only fires for an object whose getNomUrl() builds its label through CommonObject::getTooltipContent(). For supplier documents this is the subject of upstream proposal Dolibarr/dolibarr PR #39629; until it lands in the version you run, a one-line change is needed in each target getNomUrl(). The change is documented with the module.

Requirements

  • Dolibarr 20.0 or later, PHP 7.4+
